Westmorland Honey Festival 2015

The next time you eat a teaspoon of honey, would you believe studies have estimated that it takes a dozen bees with a combined travel distance of 6,000 miles and their entire foraging lives – seven days a week for three weeks, working – to make that one teaspoon! It is mind boggling facts such as this, that drive people to celebrate the Honey Bee industry at events like the latest Honey Festival in Westmorland. The annual event brings people from all over to celebrate.
