The Salton Sea was once a thriving, nourishing body of water located just North of the Imperial Valley and south of the Palm Desert area. In it’s hay day the Salton Sea was the place to be, boat, ski and was enjoyed by so many residents and tourists alike. The Salton Sea was a place of refuge for migratory birds. Today, with heavy pollution and lack of water the Salton Sea is drying up. Little by little, soon it will be gone and there will be nothing left but a dry water bed. The remnants of dried, contaminated debris will swirl with the winds spreading the polluted matter throughout the air.
